The drive to the property was peaceful as we exited I80 and passed some homes on Kings View Road. Once we got off the beaten path, we made our way on a slightly less traveled dirt road on our
way up the mountain. This road was approx. 1 mile long. We do recommend a high clearance vehicle to get to this property.
Once we got to the property and turned around we took a few minutes to enjoy the views and finish the morning coffee! The slight breeze and the sound of the birds made a very good way to start
the day! I immediately looked around and envisioned what a home would look like with a wood stove going and the snow covered mountain as the backdrop out the window.
After exploring the area and taking some pictures of the property we launched the drone off the bed cover of the truck to do some further exploring! The road that runs through the corner of the
property goes all the way back into the mountains! The tree covered slopes were a beautiful sight to see and I imagined the animals which must roam these hillsides. Unfortunately that was short
lived as the rain started falling from the sky.
Rye Patch Reservoir, which is one of the largest in the state sits just to the south. At 23 miles long, you're sure to never run out of fishing spots and exploring to do! This was our
next stop on this journey we love to take. Oh - did I mention the Humboldt River also runs just south of the property? Yes it does...
Even with all the rain the area received the last couple weeks the roads were still good and the view - spectacular!
